Forgotten Echoes

Welcome to Forgotten Echoes! In this Event, Daisy and Mike explore a mysterious cavern filled with strange music, hidden discoveries, and new ways to progress.

This Event works a little differently from many other Event Gardens, so this guide explains the most important mechanics, how to unlock more land, how the Mission Board works, and how to earn rewards.

Where to find the Event information screen

You can enter the Event by selecting its icon in your Home Garden ⤵️

and return home by tapping the Home button in the Event Garden ⤵️

If you want to review the Event instructions again after entering the garden, tap the Event icon and then the information button. This will open the Event information screen again.

How to complete the Event and earn rewards

To progress in Forgotten Echoes, create, merge and, eventually tap and claim the final stage of the Artisan Instruments (distinguished by red and blue accents🔴🔵) and Musical Discoveries (featuring purple accents🟣) item chains:

Artisan Instruments can occasionally be generated by the upgraded versions of the Camping Trailer while Musical Discoveries are a very rare treat generated by the fully upgraded version of the Fire Pit.

You can also gain the above items by completing Garden Quests (visible on the left side of the Garden view, below Daisy's portrait) and Match 3 Puzzle levels within the Event.

Musical Discoveries are harder to find and create, but they give even more Event Points.

You will receive Event Points automatically whenever you create, receive or merge these items but when you manage to merge them up to the final Stage, you can also tap them to claim additional Event Points.

How to use generators and upgrade them

There are three main generators in Forgotten Echoes, and each one can be upgraded. Tap the item generator and click the "Upgrade!" button to see more information about the upgrade requirements. The upgrade button will become active and turn green once an upgrade is possible and required items are present in the Garden:

  • The Camping Trailer generator produces Gardening Tools. When upgraded, it has a chance to produce Artisan's Instruments.

  • The Fire Pit generator produces Delicious Snacks and rare Scorched Snacks. When fully upgraded, it has a small chance to produce Musical Discoveries.

  • The Curious Site generator produces Rocks. When upgraded, it also produces Ornamental Vases.

You will need an Energy point for each generator tap. Read more about Energy in this section.

If a generator runs out of charges, you will have to wait a little bit for it to recharge. You can speed this process up by using gems or by using a Time Skip (find out more about Time Skips in this section):

How to unlock new land

Forgotten Echoes does not use the usual healing mechanic. There is no Nectar or flower power in this Event. To clear gray or dead land, merge items onto or next to the blocked tiles. The merge will unlock that space:

To clear the fog and unlock new areas, you need to complete Missions on the Mission Board. As a reward for completing those, you will obtain Musical Rocks that can be then tapped and used to unlock new areas of the event:

How the Mission Board works

The Mission Board is one of the most important parts of this Event.

  • Open it from the Mission Board icon inside the Event Garden.
  • Completing Mission Board tasks gives the special Musical Rocks used to open new areas (see this section).
  • Mission Board tasks are separate from the regular quests shown on the left side of the screen and from your Weekly Board available in the Home Garden.
  • If you wish to unlock more areas of the Event Garden, keep checking the Mission Board tasks and work toward them while you play.

Hint: Don't forget about the Garden Quests visible on the left side of the screen! Completing these optional tasks will still grant items that you will find useful in your Event Progression. If you manage to complete all Garden Quests, you will earn a bonus reward!

How to manage Energy

Energy is needed to tap the main generators in this Event.

  • You can see your current Energy in the top-left corner of the screen:

  • Energy refills over time automatically.
  • You can merge up the Battery items and tap them to refill some of your Energy
  • If you run low, you can also buy more Energy with gems - tap your Energy counter to open the Energy Shop.
  • In case you wish to unlock a regular Battery items supply, try upgrading the Rent-Me Kit using Gems. It will transform into a Clean Energy Farm which can be tapped periodically for Potato Batteries.
  • Generators can also run out of charges for a while. If that happens, you can wait for the cooldown to finish or use gems or a Time Skip to speed things up.

What are Time Skips?

Time Skips are special helper items that can help you reduce the cooldown time on generators. You can find them scattered around the Event Garden or gain them as rewards for completing Garden Quests and Match-3 Puzzles.

Drag a Time Skip of your choice onto a generator to remove part of its cooldown time.

Remember that you can merge Time Skips together to create stronger ones!

Match 3 Puzzles in this Event

Match 3 Puzzles are part of Event progression in Forgotten Echoes.

  • Play the Puzzle levels from the Puzzles button inside the Event Garden.
  • Some Missions or Garden Quest may require completing Match-3 Puzzle levels.
  • Puzzle progress in your Home Garden does not count toward this Event.
  • Puzzle rewards can give helpful Event items, including Time Skips and other useful materials.

Other points to note

  • Merging in groups of 5 is generally the best way to progress faster up the item chain but if making a merge of 3 means you get to upgrade a generator sooner, it may be a great move! The winning strategy is to prioritize upgrading your generators.
  • Event-specific items stay in the Event Garden and are not available in the Home Garden.
  • The Event Shop can help if you need extra items or a boost while the Event is running.

  • The Event Ticket is available for purchase from the Event's information screen if you would like access to extra rewards.
  • Remember that you can always select an item and tap the Encyclopaedia icon to learn more about the item and the item chain it belongs to.
